Meet Our Chef

Chef Fatima is a graduate of Bayero University, Kano. She graduated with B.SC in Information Science in 2014. Before then she obtained from the same institution Diploma Certificate in Accounting & Auditing, Advance Diploma in Educational Management and Advance Diploma in Information Management. She did the One year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) from October 2014 to October 2015 with the National Assembly. Based on her hard work, dedication and willingness to teach other Corp members which she displayed during the service year in 2014/ 2015 earned her an NYSC Honours Award for Exemplary Service to Nigeria.

She is a Professional Chef, Entrepreneur, and Public & Motivational Speaker and is currently based in Nigeria’s Capital City, Abuja. She is also a member of the Association of Professional Chefs in Nigeria, Member African Chef United, member world chef society and she is the Founder and CEO of Chef Fatima Nig Ltd and Also founder of the Chef Fatima Foundation. She has won several awards of recognition both in Nigeria and abroad.

Feel the Taste Of Chef Fatima

In collaboration with Brekete Family Programme, she organized an event called world food day buffet on October 20, 2018, to mark world food day with the theme “to eliminate hunger in Africa by the year 2030’’. She also organized “Chef Fatima Food Fusion” with a celebrity guest in Lagos Nigeria in Nov.2018. she also led Abuja’s top Chef as they showcased ‘A Taste of the North, a presentation of Nigerian Food Culture at the 6th Abuja Jabamah, the Nigerian Travel Expo which was organized in 2018. Also in Nov 2019, Chef Fatima organized a global food feast in Abuja that attracted notable celebrities across the country and the world.

Pleasure's Magazine

Chef Fatima was featured in pleasures magazine in 2017 as one of the top 100 young Entrepreneurs in Africa. Also in 2019, the same magazine featured her on their cover page of the January / February edition to inspire youths and especially women in entrepreneurship.

She represented Nigeria in Culinary Competition in Ghana in 2016, in South Africa Happi Culinary Challenge in 2017 and in Lagos in 2018 with contestants from all over Africa. She has trained well over one hundred thousand (100,000) people in several areas which include entrepreneurship, food processing and the manufacture of household items within the last 6 years. She is a food quality consultant to several companies, Hotels and institutions in Abuja and other states of the federation.

Personal Development

To be on top of her profession and be innovative in her delivery of services, she has attended several professional & international training and Certifications on food processing and entrepreneurship both within Nigeria and outside the country. She attended several certification courses with The State University of New York-Global Food Institute (SUNY-GFI) and other institutions. Some of the training and certification include; Masters Certified Food Service Professional (MCFP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP1), Certified HACCP Professional (CHP), and certified Culinary Nutrition (CCN).

Her entrepreneurship skill started as young girl of less than ten (10) years helping her mother in her food business by cooking and selling. That continues throughout her secondary school and university education. While doing her youth service in Abuja she taught other corps members food processing and production of house hold used items and was spotted by the officials of the NYSC and was Provided an opportunity to be among the skill acquisition trainers to train corps members on food Processing and house hold use items for the Skill acquisition program of the NYSC.
